According to a report by RTVI, on July 29th, the government of Kazakhstan has made the decision to completely ban e-cigarette and e-liquid products.
The ruling party of the country announced in a statement that, in order to safeguard the health of young children, members of the cross-department committee overwhelmingly voted in favor of a complete ban on the sale, import, export, and production of e-cigarettes.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, e-cigarette sales in the country have increased 300 times in the past two years. Over the past few years, the consumption of e-cigarettes among children and adolescents has significantly risen, with approximately 3 million imported e-cigarettes in Kazakhstan in the past two and a half years.
